Redford Bar & Restaurant Recommendations

Michno's Cafe
25524 5 Mile Rd.
Redford, MI 48239
(313) 532-9212

Don't let the name full you: You won't find any fancy mochas or baristas here, Michno's is a full-fledged sports bar. What makes Michno's so popular around town is their specials. Nearly every day they have something different. So if you're into craft beers, be sure you come in on Mondays for their $1 draft nights. Unlike other bars in town, Michno's has tons of local craft beers - from a marvelous Atwater Dirty Blonde to a Vanilla Java Porter. If you're into good sports teams and good drinks, make sure you give Michno's a try.

Pho Lucky
23838 Joy Rd.
Redford, MI
(313) 532-2333

Pho Lucky is one of Redford's hottest ethnic restaurants. If you're unfamiliar with "pho", it's a Vietnamese-style soup with amazing broth. From the traditional beef pho to the spicy Pho Tai with jalapeños, if you like a spiced broth, this soup is for you. While the pho is definitely a crowd favorite here, you can find other stellar dishes like their delicious lemongrass chicken and their marvelous vermicelli bowl with your choice of meat - all of which have a certain Vietnamese flair to them. If you're looking for some truly exotic food in Redford, Pho Lucky is a great choice.

Sandy's by the Beech
25853 5 Mile Rd.
Redford, MI 48239
(313) 534-0333

While Sandy's is truly a bar at heart, you can still find some great pub grub here. They're home to a mouthwatering Ruben burger, which is huge by the way, and some amazing sweet potato fries. However, be sure to take advantage of their $1 coney dog special on the weekend, since their coneys are just as good as their burgers. And for drinks, the beer menu is pretty standard, although a few seasonal beers pop up when the time's right.

Captain Jay's Fish and Chicken
15160 Telegraph Rd.
Redford, MI
(313) 535-3474

Captain Jay's Fish and Chicken is home to some of the best fried fish in town. The catfish here is super fresh, and the batter they use is out of this world. While you'll find great fish entrees (including their ocean perch), the fried chicken is another huge attraction at Captain Jay's. Whether you get wings, things or tenders or spicy or mild, this chicken is some of the best in town. Thanks to a great ambiance and a wonderful fry team, Captain Jay's is a quintessential Redford diner.

Sushi Bay
25870 W Six Mile Rd.
Redford Charter Township, MI
(313) 543-3220

While Pho Lucky has some truly Asian dishes, Sushi Bay is perfect for compromise. Thanks to their jaw dropping sushi rolls (especially the spicy tuna, a crowd favorite) and their rather American style teriyaki and hibachi dishes, this place has easily become one of Redford's most popular new restaurants. Whether you're here for the chicken fired rice or the Udon dishes, this restaurant is a pleasure all the way through. Just be sure you order up their Mochi ice cream for dessert!

Mason's Bar and Grill
13490 Farmington Rd.
Livonia, MI 48150
(734) 427-0650

While Mason's is a bit short on their beer offerings, the food here is what makes this place shine. The hamburgers are the crowd favorite here. Whether your order their sliders or their doubles, this place is home to some great patties. Thanks to the super fresh toppings (especially the crispy pickles), the burgers here are some of Redford's best. But if you're looking for a great drink, this place has you covered. With a full bar and great drink prices, Mason's is perfect for a night out.
